The Department of Emergency Medicine at Lalitha PVS Hospital provides 24×7 rapid, high-quality emergency care for patients presenting with life-threatening and acute medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and neurological emergencies. The department follows structured triage protocols to ensure immediate assessment, stabilization, and treatment.

The emergency unit is fully equipped to manage Polytrauma, Road traffic accidents, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Acute Brain stroke, Respiratory failure, poisoning and sepsis.

Advanced facilities include well-defined triage zones, fully equipped resuscitation rooms, point-of-care diagnostics, bedside ultrasound, cardiac monitors, ventilators, and rapid access to CT/MRI imaging . A seamless emergency response system ensures immediate availability of specialists from cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, trauma care, anesthesiology, and critical care.

The department works in close coordination with the Cath Lab, Stroke Unit, Operation Theatres, and ICUs, ensuring rapid transfer for definitive care. Ambulance services with trained paramedics and pre-hospital communication further strengthen emergency response.
