Neurosurgery Department is started in the year 1998 dealing with all types of Neurosurgical cases headed by D.N.Srinivasa Rao experienced Neurosurgeon. Neurosurgery Department has dedicated team of doctors supported by the latest technology which aims to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for disorders of the brain and spine.
First successful decompressive craniectomy surgery for large massive MCA infarct is done in 2002. Our specialists are well versed in performing CP angle tumors, transphenoid endoscopic pituitary tumor decompression surgeries, and aneurysm clipping.
Ankineedu stroke Center
The Ankineedu stroke centre (ASC), First of its kind in A.P was established in 1996 and is developed into a state-of-the-art comprehensive stroke care facility with 24/7 availability of Stroke Team managing “Brain Attack” patients to maximize their recovery.
Ankineedu Advanced stroke center became the First Advanced Stroke center in the country to receive disease specific stroke Accreditation from QAI.
Presently ASC is a high volume centre with more than 1000 stroke patients being treated per year.
